Screen Rant has the next level honor to exclusively present the new trailer for Solar Opposites season 3, which returns to Hulu on July 13 with eleven episodes. Co-created by Rick & Morty's Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan (who is also responsible for the delightful Star Trek: Lower Decks), the animated series follows a team of four aliens who cannot come to a consensus on whether Earth is awful or awesome.
Roiland himself voices Korvo, the smart and rational yet socially awkward member of our alien team. Solar Opposites also stars Sean Giambrone (The Goldbergs) as the cunning and crabby Yumyulack; Thomas Middleditch (Silicon Valley) as the laid-back and friendly Terry, and Mary Mack (Trover Saves The Universe) as the cheerful and compassionate Jesse. While the former two only see the pollution, consumerism, and frailty of humanity, the latter two only notice the entertainment value and delicious junk food. In season 3, the foursome will attempt to be unite as more of a family rather than simply a team - but their bizarre escapades may get in the way.
In the exclusive new trailer provided by Hulu, Screen Rant offers fans a tongue-in-cheek look at the aliens' shenanigans. Korvo swears he's not focusing on the mission and is instead ready to do whatever he wants, but it's very quickly clear that "hero sh-t" and wacky hijinks will always come first. And thanks to Terry's beloved montage segue, viewers can bear witness to dinosaurs, gorillas on flying bulldogs, Hululand and much more. You can watch the wonder and terror of Earth in the trailer below:
As the Solar Opposites trailer declares, ship hits the fam in season 3, and the terrifying Thomas the Tank Engine homage certainly drives that point home. But the animated comedy closes on a heartwarming note, declaring that the aliens may have once met as beautiful strangers but have now become family. And what is a family without a synchronized Tiktok dance?
Screen Rant can also exclusively present the key art for Solar Opposites season 3, both in vertical and horizontal format for your viewing pleasure:
Not only has Solar Opposites received critical acclaim thanks to Roiland and McMahan's blend of unique humor and metatheatrical writing, the animated series has also become massively popular over the course of its first two seasons. So popular, in fact, that the show was renewed for season 4 ahead of its season 3 premiere. Fans can thus rest assured that they'll be enjoying this alien family's antics for a long time to come.
Solar Opposites season 3 premieres Wednesday, July 13 on Hulu.
