Thor: Love and Thunder is right around the corner and the final trailer is keeping anticipation alive for the film. The latest chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will follow Chris Hemsworth's titular character as he ventures on a journey of self-discovery and considering retiring from the superhero world after the events of Avengers: Endgame. When Gorr the God Butcher begins slaughtering various gods across the universe, Thor must turn to his friends Valkyrie, Korg and Jane Foster, now transformed into the Mighty Thor and wielding Mjolnir, to defeat the menacing villain.

Alongside Hemsworth, the cast for Thor: Love and Thunder features the MCU returns of Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Taika Waititi as Korg, Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor, Jamie Alexander, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Sean Gunn and Jeff Goldblum. The film will also mark the MCU debuts of Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher and Russell Crowe as Zeus. As summer gets underway, Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theaters in July and Marvel is looking to keep anticipation high for the MCU sequel.

With just two weeks remaining until its arrival, Marvel has released the Thor: Love and Thunder final trailer. The video features more action-packed footage from the MCU fourquel, including more of the Guardians of the Galaxy and the team Thor has assembled to fight Gorr the God Butcher. The final Thor: Love and Thunder trailer is sure to help keep anticipation alive for the upcoming MCU sequel, namely as it goes heavy on the same style of comedy that made Ragnarok a success and landed it on many fans' favorite MCU movie lists. The trailer also offers seems to offer some further insight into how the Guardians of the Galaxy will factor into the film and when audiences will see them part ways with Thor, as he hilariously drags out their goodbye handshake with a variety of flourishes. The video also offers a look at some of the film's fast-paced action sequences, including Portman's Mighty Thor and Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie fighting Olympians to rescue Thor.

Given the critical acclaim directed towards Ragnarok, many consider the bar to be set high for Thor: Love and Thunder, especially as it marks the first major return of Portman to the MCU after her disappointment with Thor: The Dark World. With Hemsworth also recently indicating the film may be his final Thor outing in the MCU, many are also anxious to see what note the acclaimed actor may leave on. Only time will tell when Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters on July 8.
